Two interesting new features are added in WMS Map Viewer on line
For the first one, simply click on any location of any open map and on the bottom of the screen you will see its coordinates as well as its altitude. The altitude feature is powered by geonames.org
The second feature regards connections to the Web Map Service of GEBCO which may be found on the maps section of the application. Elevation data may also be retrieved from there using the GetFeatureInfo function of the service.
