Browse Sentinel maps on WMS Map Viewer

The Sentinel satellite Missions produce daily high quality images of the earth which are valuable sources of information. One productive way of using this information is by projecting these images on multi-layer maps. Let's do this by using Sentinel-hub, one of the many sources of acquiring Sentinel imagery, and WMS Map Viewer
First it is necessary to access Sentinel-hub configurator. It is the place where you configure your personal maps layers; how you care to see Sentinel imagery. The configuration includes dates and imagery bands. After creating a free or paid account on the configurator you and login.
It is easy to locate in the first screen you see your personal ID. It is of the form "xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx" where x denotes alphanumeric characters.
Using the drop down menu you may apply advanced configurations to the services like determining the date of the satellite images the bands you will view e.t.c. In case you keep the standard configurations and you don't change anything the available map layers are
AGRICULTURE, GEOLOGY, NDVI, TRUE_COLOR, BATHYMETRIC,
 FALSE_COLOR_URBAN, MOISTURE_INDEX, SWIR

Now let's get to WMS Map Viewer. After opening the app, zoom to a small area (like a city) as large area imagery is not supported. Then it is only necessary to apply the URL of your Sentinel map layers and their names, one at a time. So, on the top of the screen on the URL: field apply

https://services.sentinel-hub.com/ogc/wms/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

(replace the x's with your real ID)
then on the LAYER: field type the name of the layer that you configured on the configurator, or any of the default layers. Hit or choose "View Layer" from the "View" menu and here is your Sentinel imagery.
On the top of it you may easily display other maps embedded on the application, or define new layers and choose "Overlay Layer" from the "View" menu. This function is the most important benefit from going through all this trouble as it enables you on creating multi-layer maps.

The "Layers" button on the top of the screen provides you with access to all recently open layers on the application and the ability to edit them. Also the "Save to File" option creates html files with the current location and all the opened layers stored in them.
